Steven M. Myers, 71, of Erie, died Thursday, June 22, at St. Vincent Hospital, after collapsing at his home. He had a series of health problems in recent years.
He was born July 25, 1951, in Wisconsin, the son of the late William and Eunice Myers. Because his father was an Air Force pilot, he grew up in many places: Wisconsin, Colorado, Okinawa and Italy. He graduated from high school in Wausau, Wisconsin.
He worked in construction as a gifted carpenter. He could make anything and fix anything. He worked in California, Florida and Erie, where he had lived for more than 30 years. He was also an accomplished horticulturist.
He is survived by his brother, John, and his wife Brenda Martin, of Greenville; his special friend Kimberly Griebeo, of Erie; and several cousins.
Family services will be private. Arrangements are under the care of the Burton Quinn Scott Cremation and Funeral Services, West Ridge 3801 W. 26th Street, Erie.
