Steven Bacik

Steven Paul Bacik, age 57, of Fairview, passed away on Sunday, November 21, 2021 at his residence after a lengthy battle with pancreatic cancer.

He was born in Erie in 1964 a son of Paul Bacik of Fairview and the late Audrey Bacik.

Steven graduated from Fairview High School and received his bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from Gannon University.

He worked at Wabtec (formerly General Electric) in the Sim Center where he used his electronics and software engineering skills to test locomotives. Prior to this, he worked at Horwath Electric Motors engineering solutions for many applications.

Steven was a loving father, and his children were his greatest joy. He enjoyed playing dice and cards. He especially had fun playing “Feed the Pig” an original game he created with his friends. Steven enjoyed playing the trumpet throughout school and target practicing with his brother and son.

Steven was a member of Holy Cross Church, The Moose Club and the Millcreek American Legion. He had many friends who were veterans and he enjoyed buying all of them a drink each year on Veteran’s Day.

In addition to his two children, Ashton and Audrianna Bacik, he is survived by his father, three siblings, Sandra Bacik of Ashland, MA, Valerie Bacik of Erie, PA and Michael Bacik (his wife Roberta, who was Steven’s care giver) of Fairview, PA; nephew, Anthony Bacik and a niece, Kathryn Bacik. He is further survived by several aunts and uncles.

Friends may call at the Burton Quinn Scott Cremation and Funeral Services, 3801 W. 26th Street on Tuesday from 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. and are invited to attend a service there on Wednesday at 9:00 a.m.
