Stephen Faluszczak

Stephen W. Faluszczak age 89, of Erie, passed away on 10 January 2017, at the Erie VA Medical Center.

He was born in Schenectady, N.Y., on 27 November 1927, a son of the late Anthony and Rose (Belczyk) Faluszczak.

After graduating from Purdue with a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering, Stephen worked at GE in 13 different manufacturing departments for more than 39 years, in engineering management. Since manufacturing was the focal point of his career, it was difficult for him to later watch most of the work moved abroad.

Steve enjoyed spending summers on the golf course with his friends Bill Seelinger, Ed Zamorski, and George Zahner. He also leaves many friends behind at the local YMCAs and Erie Bridge Club.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his siblings Helen (Sister Mary Magdalene - CR), Thadeus, Ann Kilian (Arthur), and Raymond (Stella).

His family was always at the center of Stephen’s life. While preceded in death by Barbara Faluszczak; he is survived by his children: John, Mary, Ted (Connie), and Jim Faluszczak; three granddaughters: Charmaine, Anna and Kate Faluszczak ; and grandson, Mark McKenna. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Friends may attend a memorial mass on Monday January 16th at St. Jude’s Church, Chapel, 2801 West 6th St., Erie PA 16505 at 10am. Inurement in Gate of Heaven Cemetery.
