Stephen Campbell

Stephen K. Campbell, age 68, of Erie, passed away on November 17, 2012 at UPMC Hamot as a result of complications from pneumonia.

He was born in Sodus, NY on March 14, 1944, son of the late Gordon and Margie Nestor Campbell.

Stephen was employed at Erie Plating Company for 38 years. He was a member of the Crossroads Community Baptist Church and served on the church's Coed Board, the Refuge Task Force and the Diaconate Board.

Stephen's family was most important to him and he loved being with his children and grandchildren. He also enjoyed bowling and golf.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his brother Gordon Campbell, Jr.

Stephen is survived by his wife Joyce Williams Campbell; two sons, Stephen J. Campbell and his wife Laura and Terry Campbell, a daughter Tracy Lockwood and her husband Frank; nine grandchildren: Kayla Darboe, Kaitlyn and Kreole Lockwood, Kayla Weber and Nicklas, Hannah, Ethan, Ruth, and Esther Campbell. He is further survived by a sister-in-law Marlene Pierce and several nieces and nephews.

Friends may call at Burton Funeral Home and Crematory Inc., 602 West 10th Street Erie, PA 16502 on Wednesday from 2-5 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. and are invited to attend a service there on Friday at 10 a.m. with Pastor David White and Reverend Katie White officiating.

Burial will follow in Erie County Memorial Gardens.
