Stephanie Francis Hinkler
November 16, 1954 — March 24, 2024
Stephanie Francis Hinkler, 69, of Wattsburg, PA, passed away after a long battle with cancer on March 24th, 2024, in her home surrounded by loved ones. Stephanie was the daughter of Edward and Sally Dombrowski. She was born and raised in Wattsburg and died in the same house where she was born.
Stephanie was very close with her family, especially her siblings and celebrated Sisters Weekend with her sisters Irene, Virginia, Joann, and Barbara annually. Stephanie loved going on cruises each year with her family, where she enjoyed drinking a cold Michelob Ultra on the ship's top deck. Stephanie was known for never turning her back on family, demonstrating her devotion to them through unconditional love and unwavering support, even in the most challenging times. She was also known for her love of animals and had many pets throughout her life. Stephanie will be remembered for her love of Christmas and making the holiday special for her children and grandchildren. She also hosted the most amazing Easter dinners every year for the entire family. What Stephanie loved more than anything, was being outside and providing a welcoming place for neighbors and family to stop by. She would spend the entire summer outside tending to her garden, spending time with family at the pond and having garage beers with friends and family.
She is survived by her daughter, Jenae Gary-Pohl (Eric); her son, Tommy Jason Gary; her grandchildren, Marissa Solan, Megan Solan, Sadie Gary, and Samuel Gary; her great-granddaughter, Bella Patsy; her sisters Irene Wood (Albert), Virginia Whitehill (James), Joann Cencula (Frank), and Barbara Thomas (Jack); and her brother, Theodore Dombrowski (Sue) and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and close friends who adored her. She is further survived by her stepchildren Heidi, Theresa, Bridget, Thomas, Eric, Sarah, and Judy.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas J. Hinkler; her father, Edward Dombrowski; and her mother, Sally Dombrowski; and her niece Kayla Rose Sansone.
