Stephan Young

Stephan Young, age 58, of Erie, passed away Sunday, September 20, 2020. He was born in Erie to the late Joseph and Evangelist R.M. Mims Young. Stephan worked for the Mental Health Association (CFST), and previously at the EMI plant, a part of the Gunite Corporation for many years in his younger life.

Stephan enjoyed living the good outdoor life, including his favorite past times of fishing and camping. In addition, he enjoyed everything involving music, especially singing, writing, and producing.

In addition to his parents, Stephan is preceded in death by his sisters, Betty Jean Smith, Johnnie McCloud, and Clara Ward. His brothers, Robert Young, Donald Young, and James Young.

He is survived by his Wife, Norma Young, his sister, Ruthie Everett, and his brother, Joseph Young (Diane). Stephan is further survived by his children, Terrance Elder of Niagara Falls, NY, Alicia Thompson (Shawn), Michael Hodges (Melissa), Joyce Horne (Bruce), Maricia Ebright (Mark), Ashton Abel, Keyanna Young, and Stephan Young Jr. He is survived by 17 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren, and a host of many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends whom he loved dearly; he had a special bond with many nieces and nephews.

Friends are invited to call on the family, Thursday, October 1, 2020 from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service at 12:00 Noon, at Second Baptist Church, 757 E 26th St, Erie, PA 16504 with Pastor Lamont A. Higginbottom presiding. Burial will follow in Erie Cemetery. Arrangements are entrusted to Burton Quinn Scott Cremation & Funeral Service Inc. Downtown, 602 W. 10^th Street, Erie.
