Stanley H. Lutz, Jr.

Stanley H. Lutz, Jr. of Erie, passed away on his 81st birthday, June 13, 2024, at Walnut Creek Rehabilitation Center. He was born in Lowville, OH to the late Stanley H. Lutz Sr and Pauline Moss Lutz.

Stan graduated from McDowell High School and served a four-year apprenticeship to become an insulator. He worked for Bayview Insulation. He was also part owner of Maverick Leasing.

He grew up working for Waldameer and enjoyed all things outdoors, especially the water where he fished, and scuba dived. You could often find him at the casino or regularly playing cards with his card club for over 45 years. He appreciated a fine car. He was a proud member of Local 33 of Insulators. He attended St. Luke Catholic Church. Most of all, he loved his adopted family John and Kim Lupo and their kids.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife June Kranz Lutz.

He is survived by his beloved companion, Pamela Eckberg, brother Ron Lutz, his niece Jessica (Gary) Johnson, 3 grandnieces and 1 grandnephew and 3 great-grand nieces, the Lupo family: John and Kim and their children Anthony, John, Matthew and Michael. He is further survived by his sister-in-law Karen Kranz and 5 nephews David, Brian, Chad, Tana, and Marine Sergeant Richard Kranz.

Friends may call on the family on Friday, June 21, 2024, from 3pm until the time of the memorial service at 4pm at St. Luke Catholic Church, 421 E 38th St, Erie, PA 16504. Burial at a later date at Laurel Hill Cemetery.
