Square Young, Jr.

Square Young Jr., age 78, of Erie, passed away on Wednesday February 20, 2019 at Millcreek Community Hospital.  He was born in Boykin, Alabama on June 1, 1940, the son of the late Square Young Sr. and Idinia Petway.

Square relocated to Erie, PA in November of 1980, where he resided with Mark and Sabrenia Mook.  He enjoyed singing and playing the harmonica. 

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a sister Velma White, and five brothers, Joseph, Strother, Samuel, Matthew, and Jessie Young.

He is survived by four sisters, Ida Jordan (Otis), of Erie, PA, Helen Scrivens, Murlene Toles, both of Buffalo, NY, and Aurlia Davis, of Clarksdale, TN.

Services are private at the request of the family.  Arrangements are entrusted to Burton Funeral Home, 602 W 10^th Street, Erie.
