Sofia Oszvald

Sofia Oszvald, age 85, of East Springfield, passed away on Saturday, January 21, 2023 at Fairview Manor.

She was born in Resita, Romania on March 1, 1937 a daughter of the late Ion & Ecaterina Oszvald.

Sofia enjoyed going for walks, flowers, and growing fruits and vegetables in her garden.  She loved to go shopping and enjoyed being in nature and going to church.

She was a member of St. Mary’s Orthodox Church. 

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her two brothers Carol Oszvald & Iosif Oszvald.

She is survived by her two daughters Hermina Rebedea (Dumitru) and Carmen Iuhasz (Stefan); and three grandchildren Jennifer Orza, Gabriela Iuhasz and Stefan Iuhasz.

Friends may call at the Burton Quinn Scott Cremation and Funeral Services, West Ridge 3801 W. 26^th Street on Thursday, January 26, 2023 from 11:00 am until the time of service at 1:00 pm with Father Remus Bleahu officiating.
