Shon Martell Henderson

Shon Martell Henderson, age 57, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, January 15, 2025, at Saint Vincent Hospital.

He was born in Erie on November 12, 1967, to Rose (Henderson) Coleman and the late Gary Lee Williams.

In addition to his father, he is preceded in death by nephews, Akao Thompson and Korquoja Henderson II and grandmothers, Jowann Boggan and Hannah Warner. 

Shon had worked as a foreman for Erie Coke and retired from GE. He was an awesome father, amazing provider for his family and loved his grandkids. Shon was the loudest person in the room even if he wasn’t in the room and was an extremely funny prankster. He was an avid Dallas Cowboys fan. 

He leaves behind to cherish him in memory, his loving wife, Yvette Henderson; children, Brianna Flemings, Maurice Strickland, Simone Marsh, Chaurdney Marsh and Ka’rin Henderson; his mother, Rose Coleman and his grandchildren, Aniyah, Justus, Mya, Josiah, Malaiyah and Marquise; siblings, Ebony Landingham, Korquoja Henderson and Andre Knight and sister-in-law, Yvonne Farmer. He is further survived by many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and close friends, Todd Stephens and McKinley Johnson. 

Friends are invited to Burton Quinn-Scott Cremation & Funeral Services Inc. Downtown, 602 West 10th Street, on Tuesday, January 21, 2025, from 11:00 A.M. until time of service at 1:00 P.M. Burial will be private.
