Shirley Ann Willis-Scott, age 61 of Erie, passed away Tuesday, November 17, 2015 at UPMC Hamot.
She was born in Erie on December 8, 1953, daughter of the late George Earl Willis and Martha Shaw -Fox.
Shirley attended Technical Memorial High School and worked at the Coyne Textile Company.
She was a member of the Second Baptist Church. Shirley loved gardening, baking-especially cookies, and loved children. She was a business woman, valued the power of prayer, and was the backbone of her family. She was a very loving and beautiful person.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by four uncles: Robert, Tony, Phillip Shaw, Elmore Shaw, Jr., and two aunts: Altha Shaw, and Erma Bonner.
Survivors include her husband, David Scott. Two daughters: India Carder of Erie, and Antranette Doe (Clarence) of Pittsburgh, PA, and adopted children: Ariana Lentz, Diamond Lentz, and Kyree Burrows. Her sister Patricia Ann Miles, and brothers: Robert James Burrows, Elmo Dean Burrows, Chester Burrows, and Andrew Fox, Jr., also survive by six grandchildren , many nieces, nephews and friends.
Friends may call on Monday, 11/23/2015 from 5 to 9 pm at the Burton Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 602 West 10th Street, and attend services at the Second Baptist Church, Tuesday 11/24/2015, at 11 am. 757 East 26th Street on Tuesday with Reverend Kevin Hobson officiating.
Burial will be at the Lakeside Cemetery.
