Shirley Robertson

February 27, 1934 — April 12, 2013

Pat Robertson, age 79, passed away April 12, 2013 at her home surrounded by her family after a courageous battle with cancer. She was born in Erie on February 27, 1934, a daughter of the late Henry and Myrtle Weber.

Her main love in life was her husband and family. Pat enjoyed making Easter chocolate so much that it eventually became a business. She was an avid collector of bunnies. Pat coached girls' softball, was a Girl Scout Leader and a Den Leader in the Cub Scouts. She liked to snowmobile and enjoyed antiquing with her husband Lee. She was a wonderful wife and mother. With her husband Lee, they turned an old farmhouse on Grubb Road into a beautiful home with memories of holidays and special occasions that will never be forgotten.

Pat attended McDowell High School and was a long-time Millcreek resident. She became involved with school affairs through the Parent Teachers Association (PTA) when her first child entered school in 1957 and was involved until her retirement. She was a strong supporter of education in the township and served on the Millcreek School Board for 20 years as a board member and president. Pat served because as she said, "I was concerned enough to become informed, involved and sometimes inspired."

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son David Robertson and his wife Brenda Wurst Robertson, a sister Audrey Weber Heidt, and her sister-in-law Katherine Murray.

Pat is survived by her husband of 61 years, Lee Robertson and her two daughters: Linda Robertson Cornwell and her husband Rick of Millcreek and Laurie Robertson Kikola and her husband Bruce of Harborcreek, and a son Scott Robertson of Girard; 10 grandchildren: David, Matthew, Andrew, Jason, Stacey, Jennifer, Melissa, Craig, Rachel and Jillian and 16 great grandchildren. She raised her two grandsons David and Matthew after the death of their parents. Pat is also survived by her sister Judy Weber Mihalak and her spouse Paul and brother-in-laws: Ed Murray and Bob Heidt.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to Doctor Pedro Escobar and his team at the Cleveland Clinic, to the staff of the Regional Cancer Center in Erie, to Doctor Valerie Gilreath and his supportive staff and lastly to the VNA hospice staff for their compassion and excellent care.

Friends may call at the Burton Westlake Funeral Home 3801 West 26th Street (at Powell Ave.)

on Monday and Tuesday from 2:00 to 5:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 pm and are invited to services there on Wednesday at 11:00 am with Rev. Harry Johns III officiating.

Burial will follow at Laurel Hill Cemetery.
