Shirley Miller

Shirley L. Miller, age 93, of Erie, passed away on Saturday March 24, 2018 in North Carolina.  She was born in Erie on September 13, 1924 the daughter of the late Dorothy Schoneman and William F. Hunter.

She graduated Emerson, Gridley and Strong Vincent High School. Shirley was a homemaker raising 5 children and a very caring mother.  She will be sadly missed by all she touched in life. She was a member of Asbury Seniors and several senior citizens clubs.  Shirley enjoyed exercising at the YMCA. 

Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Merton J. Miller and daughter, Diane Rondeau. 

Shirley is survived by her son, Thomas Miller; three daughters, Susan Samol and husband Steve, Margaret Miller and Janice Miller all of Erie; and son in law, Rick Rondeau of Erie.  She is further survived by nine grandchildren and great-grandchildren. 

Arrangements entrusted to Burton Funeral Home. Burial will be private in Laurel Hill Cemetery.   A service of celebration will be announced this summer.
