Shirley Kujan

Shirley M. (Hacker) Kujan, age 87, of Erie, PA passed away at St. Vincent Hospital on May 18, 2017 following a brief illness.  She was born on March 26, 1930 in Stevens Point, WI.  She was raised in Des Plaines, IL.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Edward & Eleanor (Konopacki) Hacker, husband Edward and son Mark.

Her favorite pastimes were knitting, playing cards and shopping.

She is survived by her children, Kathleen (Brad) Mason of Deland, FL; Debbora (Tom) Sweezea of Tavares, FL; Kevin (Jean) Kujan of Harborcreek, PA; Eric (Kelly) Kujan of Canonsburg, PA; Bradley (Christine) Kujan of Erie, PA; and grandchildren, Brian (Amanda) Sweezea, Danielle Sweezea, Nicole, Nathan, Emily, Lynzey, Colin, Lauren and Paige Kujan; one great grandchild, Stella and a sister, Mary Ann (Joe) Ksandr of Des Plaines, IL.  Also survived by many nieces and nephews, best friend Jean Yurkovich and family friend, Jimmy McDonnell .

The family wishes to thank Sarah Martin for the wonderful care and compassion shown to Shirley during her final weeks.

Family and friends may call at the Burton Westlake Funeral Home, 3801 West 26^th Street (at Powell Ave.) on Saturday, June 3, from 10:00 am to 12:00 noon and are invited to a memorial service there at 12:00 noon. 

Interment will be private at Gate of Heaven Cemetery.
