Shirley Kraus

Shirley H. Kraus, age 97, died October 23, 2021 at Saint Vincent Health Center. A lifelong resident of Erie, she was the daughter of Irwin and Edna Wambsgans Little.

Shirley was a graduate of Academy High School, and a charter member of the Ruth Guild at Saint John Lutheran Church. She was a member of the Siebenbuerger Auxillary Club, and the Erepa Grotto Grottoettes.

In addition to her parents, Shirley is preceded in death by her husband of 67 years, Norman, an infant son Keith, and her brother, Irwin.

She is survived by her sons, Kenneth and James, of Erie, her grandson Jason and his wife Chelsea, of Annville, PA, granddaughters, Kelly Kraus and Erin Velasquez, of Erie. Shirley is further survived by her sister, Janet Gloss, and her husband John, of Florida, and her great grandchildren, Antonio, Gemma, Ashton, Janelle, Gavin, Jackson, and Olivia.

Friends may call on the family Wednesday October 27, 2021 from 2:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Burton Quinn Scott Cremation & Funeral Service Inc. Downtown, 602 W. 10^th Street, Erie. A funeral service will be held there Thursday, October 28, 2021 at 10:00 a.m. with Pastor David Edmunds officiating.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Shriners Hospital for children, 1645 W. 8^th Street, Erie; or St. John Lutheran Church, 2216 Peach Street, Erie.
