Shirley Trueblood Jordano, age 80, of Millcreek passed away peacefully at home on June 13, 2017 surrounded by family.
She was born in Charleston, IL, on November 8, 1936, the daughter of the late Perry and Ruby Childress Trueblood.
Shirley served in the United States Air Force and worked for many years as a registered nurse at Pleasant Ridge Manor.
She was a member of St. Jude Catholic Church for over 35 years.
Shirley enjoyed gardening, sewing, beach concerts, going on day trips, music, and plays.
Shirley is preceded in death by her parents; husband Eugene J. Jordano; a son Louis “Louie” Jordano; a grandson, Jason Leever; and a son-in-law, Mark Kutz.
She is survived by two sons, Michael Jordano (Debi), of Millcreek, and Anthony Jordano (Kathy), of Indian Trails, NC; two daughters, Ann Jordano, of Palm Harbor, FL, and Gina Kutz, of Erie; six grandchildren, Rachael (Blair), Anthony, Nicholas, Jake, Joey, and Megan; and great-grandchildren, Blaze and Alyvia.
Special thanks to Great Lakes Hospice for their wonderful care, specifically nurse Sally, aide Veronica, and home caregivers Connie and Diane.
Friends may call at the Burton Westlake Funeral Home, 3801 W. 26th St. (at Powell Ave), on Friday, June 16th from 2:00-4:00pm and 6:00-8:00pm and are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial at St. Jude the Apostle Church, 2801 W. 6th St. in Erie, on Saturday at 11:00 A.m. am with Rev. John J. Detisch celebrant.
Burial will follow at Erie County Memorial Gardens.
