Shirley Wagner Hoffman, age 89, formerly of Fairview, and most recently of Juniper Village of Meadville, PA passed away, Friday, July 22, 2016.
She was born in Erie on April 6, 1927, the daughter of the late Edward and Clara McKinney Wagner.
Shirley was a graduate of Academy High School Class of 1945. She worked as a teacher aid and secretary for the Millcreek School District at Vernondale Elementary School for over 20 years. She was a member of Holy Cross Catholic Church.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Arthur J. Hoffman, Jr. in 1994 and two sisters, Dorothy Ranger and Kathryn Davies and one brother Edward Wagner.
Shirley is survived by three sons, Arthur J. “Skip” Hoffman, III and his wife Kathleen of Guys Mills, PA; Gary Hoffman and his wife Mary of Erie; and Scott Hoffman and his wife Brenda of Milford, Mass; and one sister, Lois Niedzielski of Lake City, PA; as well as nine grandchildren; four great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Friends may call at the Burton Funeral Home, 525 Main Street, East, on Monday from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. and are invited to attend a service there on Tuesday at 10 am in the All Faiths Chapel with Reverend Thomas Tyler officiating.
Burial will be in Laurel Hill Cemetery.
