Shirley Hess

Shirley Ann Hess, age 70, of Millcreek, passed away, Wednesday, November 12, 2014 at St. Mary’s at Asbury Ridge.

She was born in Geneva, NY on March 8, 1944, the daughter of the late Earl and Martha McLaren.

Shirley worked as a health care aid for many years. She loved playing cards, making macramé chairs, crocheting, enjoying time with friends and absolutely loved Disney World. She was a member of the Waterford Baptist Church.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband Dave Hess and infant son, Shawn Sumbler.

Shirley is survived by her children, Paul Baker, Carol Jones, Roxanne Morton, Mark Baker, Rhonda Baker, Brian Baker and Robert Sumbler; as well as many grandchildren. She is further survived by her best friend, Tom Condon and his granddaughter Brandi (Adam) Logan; and of course her dogs Stormy and Thunder.
