Shirley J. Diller, age 98, of Erie, PA, passed away on Saturday, April 5, 2025 at Manchester Commons.
She was the widow of George E. Diller, and daughter of Frank and Edith Allison.
Shirley is survived by her niece, Susan Marlatt of Falmouth, Massachusetts.
Born in Pittsburgh on January 8, 1927, Shirley and her family moved to Erie in 1966 where she was employed for 18 years by Joseph Horne Co. as office manager at the West Erie Plaza store.
She was a member of Wayside Presbyterian Church and volunteered in the church office. She also served with George as an usher at Wayside’s early Sunday services for many years.
Her hobby was cross-stitching, and she will be remembered for the notes and cards she created and sold in the Erie area.
A memorial service will be scheduled at a later date. She will be buried next to George in Erie County Memorial Gardens. Arrangements are entrusted to Burton Quinn Scott Cremation & Funeral Services Inc. West Ridge, 3801 W. 26th Street.
