Shirley Bross

On Friday, February 28, 2025, a beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, great-great-grandmother, sister, aunt and friend to many passed into eternal life at the age of 90. Shirley was born during the Great Depression in Erie, PA on October 15, 1934, the fourth of seven children to parents, Helen Czarkowski Osinski and Walter Osinski.

Shirley enjoyed being with her family, soaking up the sun, and reading. Even in her declining years, she loved babysitting for her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, reading books, and playing games. She always remembered and acknowledged every birthday.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her beloved son, Rick (Patricia) Bross, her granddaughters, Depsy Fox and Kimberly Bross, her brother, Don Osinski (Marty) and her sister, Dolores (Joe) Sunseri.

She leaves behind a loving daughter, Robin Fox (Erie, PA), granddaughters, Danielle (Corey) Bratton (Erie, PA), Jennifer (Michael) Gass (Elizabethtown, KY), Lindsey VanTassel (Erie, PA), Casey Deacon (Savannah, GA), Christine (Eddie) Ashman (Princeton, TX) and grandson Michael (Holly) Bross (Jacksonville, FL). Shirley was so proud of her 17 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren.

Shirley’s sisters left behind to cherish their sister’s memory are, Lee Ruggiero (Lakeland, FL), Pat Galanis (Lakeland, FL), and Norma (Roger) Carrier (Pittsburgh, PA). Many nieces and nephews located in Pennsylvania, Ohio, Kentucky, Florida, and Maryland who loved their gentle, kind and loving Aunt Shirley.

Inurnment next to her son, Rick and parents will take place in Calvary Cemetery. A graveside service will take place at a later date.
