Sharyn Powell

Sharyn Faye (Rose) Powell, age 71, of Fairview, passed away Wednesday May 24, 2017 at St. Vincent Health Center.

 She was born in Erie, on April 30, 1946; the youngest daughter of the late Lloyd and Alice Sterrett Rose.

 Sharyn graduated from Fairview High School in 1964.  She worked for a while at Pulako’s Chocolates on Peach St.

 She enjoyed going to Presque Isle Casino.  Her whole life was wrapped around her children and grandchildren.  Sharyn will be greatly missed by all her family and friends, but she now has no pain and is forever with her husband.

 In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 44 years, Dennis L. Powell (2009).

 Sharyn is survived by two daughters, Anita (Powell) Shaw and her husband, Roger of Erie and Melody (Powell) Littell and her husband Alan of East Springfield; a grandson, Phillip Blose and Bonnie, two granddaughters, Amanda Herman and her husband, David and Ashley Heirls of Florida; three great grandchildren, Zoey, Keaghyn and Landon; as well as her sister and best friend, Marilyn (Rose) Sharpe and her husband, Tom.  She is further survived by sister in law, Betty Lou Volkwein and her husband, Rodger, as well as two nieces.

 Family may call at the Burton Funeral Home, 525 Main St. East in Girard on Saturday from 11 am until the time of the service at 1pm with Rev. Freebourn officiating.

 Burial will be at Girard Cemetery.
