Sara Rose

Sara L Rose age 68, of Erie passed away at her residence on September 21, 2018.

Born in Erie, PA on December 5, 1949, the daughter of the late and Donald and Eileen Vose Walbridge, Sr. 

She was a graduate of Strong Vincent High School and Gannon University with a degree in English with honors.  She was a member of Church of the Cross.

Sara loved writing letters and cards to people.  She was passionate about keeping in touch with family and friends.  Always remembering to call to sing “Happy Birthday”.  She liked Fred Rogers “Mister Rogers” and the P. Allen Smith’s Garden Show on PBS.  She loved the Beach Boys, especially the song “The Warmth of the Sun”.  Friends will remember her compassion and sense of humor.

Sara is survived by her one sister, Mary Trostle and her beloved husband Keith; two sons, Robert W. Rose II and John M. Rose and extended family, Glenn D. Walbridge and wife Beverly and Donald G. Walbridge.  She is further survived by many beloved nieces and nephews.

Friends may call at the Burton Wintergreen Funeral Home 2532 Norcross Road, on Saturday, September 22, 2018 from 12 p.m. until the time of service at 1 p.m., with Pastor Michael Kuvshinikov, presiding.  Burial will follow at Erie Cemetery.

Memorials may be made to the charity of one’s choice.
