Samuel Rossi, Jr.

Samuel J. Rossi, Jr., age 79 of Erie, died Sunday, August 21, 2022 at UPMC Hamot. He was born February 2, 1943 in Sharon, PA the son of the late Samuel J. Rossi, Sr. and Emily (Pellis) Rossi. He was raised in Farrell, PA where he graduated from Farrell High School before attending Gannon University, graduating with a BA and a Master’s degree in education.

Samuel was a teacher, guidance counselor, and athletic director throughout his career in the Erie School District. He was a member of Delta Sigma Phi fraternity and he enjoyed watching sports, and betting on horse racing.

He is survived by his wife Andrea (Billak) Rossi; a son, Samuel J. Rossi III; a daughter, Corina Buto (Richard); a brother, Eugene Rossi (Susan), and many nieces and nephews. 

Friends are invited to call at the Quinn Funeral Home, West 9^th & Liberty St. on Thursday, August 25, 2022 from 4:00pm until 7:00pm at which time a Prayer Service will be held. Burial will be private.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the ANNA Shelter, 1555 East 10^th St., Erie, PA 16511.
