Sally Spires

Sally Spires, age 67, died peacefully in her sleep on October 10, 2015 at UPMC Hamot.

Sally was born May 30, 1949, in Erie, PA, the daughter of the late Richard and Carlotta (Carly) Williams. Sally, who was retired from GTE, loved spending time with her family and friends and getting frequent updates on her five grandchildren whom she loved with all of her heart.

She enjoyed gardening and nature watching on French Creek which flowed behind her back yard. She also loved caring for her treasured pets.

In addition to her parents, Sally is preceded in death by her brother Dick Williams.

She is survived by her children and their spouses, Richard and Pamela Spires, Dana and Kim Spires and Wendy and Rob Dryden; five loving grandchildren: Corey, Ryan, Tyler, Abby and Sara Spires; three brothers, Art, Tom and Dennis and his wife Anne Williams; and longtime boyfriend, Donald Evans.

There will be a private celebration of life ceremony to be held in the Spring for family and friends.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be sent in Sally’s name to The Regional Cancer Center, or any local animal shelter.
