Sally A. Palmer, age 83, of Erie, formerly of Swanville Rd., died on Tuesday August 25, 2015 at Pleasant Ridge Manor West. Born in Erie on December 28, 1931, she was a daughter of the late Maurice J. and Doris Brewer Palmer.
Sally’s family built Creamland in the early 1950 and you would often see her there. She graduated from Fairview High School in 1951. She had been employed at Huber Reversible Fan Co. for 35 years. Sally’s passion was horses and she enjoyed showing Arabian horses. She was a life member of the Erie Hunt and Saddle Club, often running the annual Erie Horse Show at the club.
Sally was an active resident at Pleasant Ridge Manor during her stay. Her family would like to thank the caregivers for their care and compassion.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two half sisters, Gene Bolla and Violet Linton and a half brother Bill Lazarow.
Sally is survived by her sister Donna M. Palmer, nieces and nephews, and many dear friends.
Friends may call at the Burton Westlake Funeral Home, 3801 West 26th Street (at Powell Ave.) on Friday from 2-4pm and 6-8pm and are invited to a service there on Saturday August 29 at 10am with Rev. Franklin Klein officiating. Private burial in Laurel Hill Cemetery.
