Ruth Mary Winschel Reynolds Hill

Ruth Mary Winschel Reynolds Hill, age 89, went to be with her Lord on Sunday, July 28, 2024. She was born in Erie, PA on September 14, 1934, a daughter of the late Elwin and Mary (Tammi) Winschel. 

Ruth graduated from Strong Vincent High School in 1953. She worked various jobs including General Electric for 23 years until her retirement in 1997. Her primary focus was raising her three children. Ruth was a member of the Red Hats, “Red Hot Chimneys” and enjoyed their get-togethers when she was able. 

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her first husband Charles Reynolds Jr, her second husband H. Earl Hill, son Charles Reynolds III, granddaughter Alyssa Reynolds-Sherman and her grandparents Mary and Jacob Tammi who helped raise her. Ruth is further preceded by her brother E. Peter Winchell and his wife Jean, her close sister-in-law Betty Smulik and her beloved dog “Cookie”

She is survived by her daughter Susan Hoag (Bud), son Kevin Reynolds (Rhonda) all of Erie. Ruth is further survived by her grandchildren: Chris Hoag, Joshua Reynolds (Jessica), and 4 great grandchildren. Special mention and gratitude to her granddaughters Lisa and Kelly Hoag who were her caregivers in the last years of her life.

Friends may call at Burton Quinn Scott Cremation and Funeral Services Inc. West Ridge 3801 West 26th St. Wednesday, July 31, 2024 from 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Burial will be private at the convenience of the family.
