Ruth English

Ruth "Hennie" Karl English, 90, of Erie, died on Sunday, December 13, 2015, at Golden Living Center - Walnut Creek.  She was born on November 3, 1925, in Erie, daughter of the late Frank and Ruth Saurwine Karl.  She Attended Strong Vincent High School and First Alliance Church.
    
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband of 52 years, Willis George "Pete" English in 1998, a daughter, Deborah Grise, and three sisters, Gertrude Karl, Catherine Duffin and Edna Schuler.

Survivors include two daughters, Nancy Schnars and husband Ivan of Erie and Cindy Anderson of Orange Park, FL; son-in-law, Robert Grise of Erie; five grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Friends may call Thursday 3 to 7 p.m. at the Scott Funeral Home, 2104 Myrtle Street.  A service will be held there Friday at 11 a.m. with Pastor Dave Snyder of First Alliance Church officiating.  Burial will be at Erie County Memorial Gardens.
