Ruth Edith Arnemann, age 100, formerly of Cranesville, PA, died on Sunday November 10, 2024.
She was born in Erie, July 29, 1924, the daughter of the late Dr. Fred Fisher, Jr., M.D. and Mary Dorothy Fisher.
Mrs. Arnemann was a graduate of East High School and attended Indiana State Teachers College. She was employed as Admitting Clerk at Reid Memorial Hospital, Richmond, Indiana, for eight years, and in the business office of Metro Health Center, Erie, PA, from where she retired in 1989. She was a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church, Girard, PA, and Albion Chapter #22, O.E.S.
Survivors include two sons, Carl Frederick and wife Olivia of Honolulu, HI, and David Paul and wife Cynthia of Fairview; one daughter, Edith Louise of Erie, PA; three granddaughters, Tracy Lynn (Brad) Watson, Malissa Leigh (John) Craig, and Tina (Doug) Brown; four great-grandchildren, Arin, Michael, Donavin and Ciara; three step grandchildren, Andrew, Jessica and Cynthia; She is further survived by one niece, Linda (David) Ditz and their daughter, Julie.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Clifford C. Arnemann; a sister, M. Dorothea Pearson; a sister-in-law, Mary Anne Grumblatt and a niece Dorothea Bliss.
Friends may call at Burton Funeral Home, 525 Main St. East in Girard, PA on Friday November 15, 2024, from 4:00pm to 7:00pm and are invited to attend a service there on Saturday at 11:00am. Burial will be in Laurel Hill Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. John’s Lutheran Church, 8948 W. Ridge Road Girard, PA 16417.
