Ruth Arndt

Ruth M. Arndt, age 69, of Erie, passed away on Friday, February 3, 2017 at UPMC Hamot. She was born in Erie on October 31, 1947, a daughter of the late Roy Frank and Madeline Gallo Lazzini. .

Ruth was a 1965 graduate of Academy High School and was a member of Real Life Assembly of God where she taught Sunday school to children she loved and adored. She was a dedicated and loving mother, grandmother and sister who was adored by all of her family. Ruth loved the beach, and had a special love for Ocean City, MD. In her younger years, Ruth enjoyed camping with her husband and children.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Larry Gene Arndt in July of 2012 and an infant daughter in January of 1967.

Survivors include her children Nicola Arndt and Craig Arndt (Kimberly); five grandchildren, Jacob Szoszorek (Kimberly), Elizabeth Szoszorek, Brittany Arndt, Savauna Arndt, and Dalton Arndt; two sisters, Sylvia Ann Nunamaker (Marty) and Tina Lazzini Maynard (Jeff); aunt, Patricia and two very close friends Chris Haaf and Susan Vogel. She is further survived by several nieces, nephews, cousins and great nieces and nephews.
