Russell Bogart

Russell “Russ” T. Bogart of Brighton, MI, age 95, died on Wednesday, June 29, 2016 at St. Joseph’s Mercy Hospital in Ann Arbor, MI.

He was born April 24, 1921 in Fairview, PA to the late Elmer Bogart and Edith Bogart-Whipple.

Russell loved the world of business and was a sports enthusiast. His long time employment with Rockwell International took Betty and him to homes in Ashtabula, OH; Mt. Prospect, IL; and Battle Creek and Bloomfield Hills, MI

Russell was married to Elizabeth “Betty’ Walker, also from Fairview, for 47 years. They were married on Valentine’s Day, February 14, 1942.

He is survived by his three children: Carol Lehman of Reston, VA; James Bogart of Torrance, CA; and Lawrence Bogart of Gladstone, NJ; as well as five grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Russell was buried at Fairview Cemetery, alongside his beloved Betty.
