Roy Ramey

Roy E. Ramey,Sr., age 55, of Lake City, passed away on Tuesday, September 1, 2015 at his residence after a 9 month battle with cancer.

He was born in Erie on April 29, 1960, a son of the late Robert and Margaret Heffner Ramey.

Roy graduated from Northwestern High School in 1978. He worked for Morlite in Girard, for 20 years and CSI in Fairview for 15 years. He enjoyed camping and fishing. Roy loved the Cleveland Browns and spending time with his family and friends. He was a member of the Fairview American Legion Post #742 for twenty years.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Edward Ramey.

Roy is survived by his wife of 22 years, Terry Taylor Ramey; two daughters: Christina Boyer and her husband Robert of Springfield and Amanda Ramey of Girard; and son, Roy Ramey, Jr. of New York; step children: Stephen Kasper and his wife Staci of Springboro and Stephanie Kasper of Florida; grandchildren: Cameron Boyer, Robbie Boyer, Ronald Kasper, Alexis Kasper, Ariel Carr and Autumn Carr; two brothers: Robert Ramey and his wife Mary of Erie and John Ramey of Erie. He is further survived by many nieces and nephews.

Friends may call at the Burton Funeral Home, 525 Main St. East, in Girard on Friday from 2pm until the time of the prayer service at 6pm.
