Roy Brewton

Roy Robert Brewton, age 66, of Erie, passed away peacefully Sunday morning, October 6, 2013 at UPMC Hamot.

He was born in Meadville, PA, son of the late Charlie, Sr. and Neverlee Presley Brewton.

Roy retired from the sanitation department in the City of Pittsburgh. He enjoyed fishing and hunting.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, June Presley, and a sister, Connie Butler.

Roy is survived by his son, Roy Brewton, Jr., a daughter, Nicole Brewton, both of New York; and daughter, Tyesha Brewton of Erie; four sisters, Lucille Brewton, Darlene Young, Valerie Brewton, and Emily Johnson, all of Erie; three brothers, Charles Brewton and wife, Samella, Tony Johnson and Kenneth Brewton and his wife, Tina, all of Erie. Several grandchildren, nieces and nephews also survive.

Friends may call at the Burton Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc., 602 West 10th Street, Friday, October 11, 2013 from 10:00 a.m. until the time of sharing at 1:00 p.m. Rev. Darryl Hopson will officiate.

Burial will be in Lakeside Cemetery.
