Rosie Easter

Rosie Irene Easter, age  82, of Erie, Pennsylvania and formerly of Summit Township, died Tuesday, December 22, 2020 at St. Vincent Health Center.

 She was born March 7, 1938 in Erie, daughter to the late Jason William Stewart Sr. and Irene Cora (Robinson) Stewart.

 Rosie attended Academy High School and then worked at WQLN, the Redevelopment Authority, Anchor Motor Freight and EMTA. She was an active member of Abundant Life Church of Erie. Rosie had the gift of creativity which she shared as an artist. She enjoyed playing the piano and reading.  She was the matriarch of the family, a very pleasant, loving, caring and nurturing person.  She always encouraged people to be successful and to believe in themselves and to go after their dreams.  She was a good friend.

 Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, John Dell Easter Sr., their sons, Juan Dorsey Easter and Dana Clarence Easter; and a brother Daniel Poindexter.

 She is survived by her children, Terri Lynn Easter, Dawnette Rose (Larry E.) Manus, and John Dell Easter Jr.; a daughter in law Sadie Easter; her siblings, Jason William (Renee) Stewart Jr., Clarissa Davis, Mary Elizabeth Stewart, and Frances Carr. Rosie is also survived by many grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.

 Friends may call at Abundant Life Church of Erie, 2247 East 19^th St. on Wednesday December 30, 2020 from 11am until the time of the Home Going Service at 12pm which will also be livestreamed at https://www.youtube.com/alcoewarriors.  Arrangements entrusted to Burton Quinn Scott Cremation & Funeral Services, 3801 W 26^th.
