Rosemary Kephart

     Rosemary McNamara Kephart, 69, of Erie, died Friday, January 23, 2015, at St. Vincent Health Center.  She was born October 19, 1945, in Erie, daughter of the late Theodore Michael and Alma Rita Schmid McNamara.  A lifelong resident of Erie, she graduated from St. Benedict Academy in 1963 and was a graduate of Ora-Jean Beauty Academy.  From 1974 to 2008 she owned and operated Rosemary's Beauty Salon on West 21st Street.  She was a member of St. Joseph Church/Bread of Life Community where she served as a Eucharistic Minister for many years.  Rosie was active in St. Joseph School PTO for sixteen years, enjoyed bowling with Good Timer 1 and the Rollerettes Bowling Leagues, and was a member of the Sunflower Club.   
     Survivors include her husband of 50 years, Bruce J. Kephart, Sr.; three daughters, Kellie A. Walker and husband Robert of Clearwater, FL, and Kimberly A. McCain and Kristen A. Sinnott and husband Christopher, all of Erie; a son, Bruce J. Kephart, Jr. and wife Lisa of Rochester, NY; four sisters, Delores Pitto and husband Richard of Berea, OH, and Patricia Zimmer and husband Dennis, Marjorie Goss and husband Richard and Teresa Visalle and husband Anthony, all of Erie; a brother, Theodore M. McNamara and his wife Delores of Newark, OH; seven grandchildren, Kyle and Robert Walker of Clearwater, FL, Owen and John Sinnott of Erie, and Emma, Jack and Nolan Kephart of Rochester, NY; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
     A sister, Carol Dudeck, preceded her in death.
     Friends may call Tuesday and Wednesday 2 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the Scott Funeral Home, 2104 Myrtle Street.  A prayer service will be held at the funeral home Thursday at 9:15 a.m. followed at 10 a.m. by a Mass of Christian Burial at St. Joseph Church/Bread of Life Community, 147 West 24th Street.  Burial will be at Erie Cemetery.  Memorials may be made to American Lung Association, 55 W.
