Rosemarie Carney Roseberry age 80, of Erie, passed away Sunday, January 26, 2014 at Elmwood Gardens.
She was born on February 16, 1933 a daughter of the late Martin and Frances (Brown) Carney.
Rosemarie graduated from East High School where she was a member of the choir. In her teen years she was also a model. She was a very talented artist and singer who also had a magic touch for cutting and styling hair. She sang for many weddings and funerals.
Rosemarie enjoyed volunteering at various schools and churches and received the American Institute for Public Service Jefferson Award.
Her greatest pride and joy were her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
She is survived by her daughter, Louanne R. Griffith (Charles Jenkins); her son, Thomas P. Roseberry (Kim Minskey); five grandchildren, Sunday Mong (Thomas), Emily Toothman (Brandon), Amanda Malinowski (Timothy), Dillion Roseberry and Hannah Roseberry; 10 great grandchildren: Kellie, Jamie, Zachery, and Cody Mong, Aiden Toothman, Merissa, Bradley, Gabriel, Gemma, and Jaden Malinowski; and two sisters, Patricia Vickery and Jaqueline Laskowski. She is further survived by several nieces and nephews.
Rosemarie’s family would like to thank the staff of Elmwood Gardens for their exceptional care.
Friends may call at the Burton Westlake Funeral Home 3801 W. 26th Street on Wednesday from 12:00p.m. until the time of service at 2:00 p.m. with Fr. Mike DeMartines officiating.
Burial in Laurel Hill Cemetery will be private.
