Rosemarie Ferrara

Rosemarie Ferrara age 86, of Erie, passed away Tuesday, February 25, 2014 at Sunrise Assisted Living.

She was born in Erie on April 5, 1927 a daughter of the late Pasquale and Restituta Carrozzi Cianflocco.

Rosemarie graduated from Strong Vincent High School.

She was employed at the Continental and W.T. Grant Co. prior to her marriage. She truly lived for her family. Her life was her family. She loved spending time with her grandchildren. She truly was the best mom in the world and the best grammy and grandma to her grandchildren.

She also enjoyed watching the New York Yankees.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Anthony D. Ferrara.

She will be sadly missed by a son, Tony Ferrara (Archea); a daughter Crystal Edwards (Bill Morosky) all of Erie; four grandchildren, Tara Edwards, Courtney Edwards, and Sierra Ferrara all of Erie and Fallon Ferrara of South Carolina; a sister, Mary Cologrande of Erie and a brother, Sam Cianflocco (Diana) of Michigan also remain. She is further survived by several nieces, nephews, and cousins and her favorite four legged friend, Cubby.

The family would like to express a sincere appreciation to Sunrise Assisted Living care managers, nurses and staff for the excellent care they gave mom.

Friends may call at the Burton Westlake Funeral Home 3801 W. 26th Street (at Powell Ave) on Friday from 2:00 p.m to 4:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. and are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Saturday at St. George Church 5145 Peach Street, Erie, Pa 16509 at 10:00 a.m. with Monsignor Brugger Celebrant. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery.
