Rosemarie Britton

Rosemarie Britton, age 85 of Erie, passed away Thursday, August 10, 2017 at Brevillier Village.

She was born in Erie on March 20, 1932, a daughter of the late Frank and Mary Kunik Jerioski.

Rosemarie graduated from East High School.  She was a member of Holy Family Church where she voluntarily cleaned the church every Saturday morning and worked in the school cafeteria for close to 40 years. Rosemarie was a devout Catholic, raising 8 children. She loved her children, grandchildren, and her dog “Susie”. 

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a daughter Marylou Britton Simmons, granddaughters Stephanie McGuigan, Bethany Simmons and Heather Britton, and brother Frank Jerioski.

Survivors include her children: James Britton (Loreta), Barbara McGuigan (John), Gerald Britton, Carolyn Irwin (Jeff), Ruthanne Edinger (David), Cynthia Britton, Rosemary Fetzner (Dan), a brother Gerald Jerioski, a sister Jean Benedict, and had 19 grandchildren.

Services will be private. Burial in Erie Cemetery.  Arrangements by Burton Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 602 West 10^th Street, 16502.  Memorials may be made to the family c/o Burton Funeral Home.
