Rosalie “Rose” F. Eppley, age 77 of Erie, passed away on Tuesday, October 24, 2017 at her residence.
She was born in Erie January 1, 1940, a daughter of the late Ethelburt and Mae Brozell Fiesler.
Rose graduated from McDowell High School, Class of 1957.
She owned and operated a local quilt shop, Patches, until she retired in 1998. In earlier years, she worked at various pet stores.
Rose was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She loved quilting and baking, and was a bell ringer at Elmwood Avenue Presbyterian Church. She also enjoyed playing cards, and had a deep love of pets and animals.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by their son David L. Eppley, II in 1980, a sister and brother, and many aunts and uncles.
Survivors include her husband of 57 years, David L. Eppley, children Terry Lynn Dunning (Larry) of Clarmont, NH and Robert Eppley (Lynn) of Erie; nine grandchildren, 5 ½ great grandchildren, her brother David Fiesler (Joan) of Girard, a niece and a cousin.
Friends may call at the Burton Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 602 West 10th Street on Friday from 2 pm until the time of service at 4 pm, with Reverend David Edmunds officiating.
Burial will be private on Saturday October 28th at Sterrettania Cemetery.
