Rory Nero

Rory David Nero Sr. age 62, of Erie passed away at home on November 14, 2016. He was born in St. Mary’s, PA on August 9, 1954 a son of the late Anthony J. and Sara E. Dahlquist Nero. He was a general contractor for many decades having built many homes and working at home improvement for decades in Erie. He was a great lover of camping, poetry, drawing and was a member of several clubs in Erie including the Polish Sharpshooters, Moniuszko Club and Forester Club. He was a great fan of the 49er’s and loved his dogs. Most of all he loved his family and his church. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his beloved wife Sandra Lynn Bull Nero in 2008 along with a daughter Nicole Lynn Nero, two brothers: Theodore and LeRoy Nero and two sisters: Patricia Nesbitt and Karen Nero and several nieces. He is survived by two sons, Rory Nero Jr. and Joshua Nero. Four grandchildren also remain; Chelsea Novakowski (Frank), Rory Nero III, Theodore Nero and Skylar Nero all of Erie. A great grandson, Rory Nero IV also survives along with a brother, Anthony Nero (Martha) of Waterford and three sisters; Nancy Furey (Bill) of Angola, NY, Betty Lynch (James) of Warren, PA and Mart Anderson of St. Mary’s, PA. Friends are invited to a funeral service for Rory on Friday at 12 Noon at Burton Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc. 602 W. 10th St. Eroe, PA 16502. Burial at Laurel Hill Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the family C/O Burton Funeral Home.
