Roosevelt Stevenson

Roosevelt Stevenson, age 56, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, March 31, 2023, at the Meadville Medical Center.

He was born on June 27, 1966, in Erie, to Roosevelt Stevenson and Catherine Hunter Leggett.

After graduation from Camden High School, Camden, New Jersey, Roosevelt joined the U.S. Army Reserve. Roosevelt worked at the Pennsylvania Department of Corrections in Cambridge Springs where he served for nearly 20 years.

He was preceded in death by his brother, Terry James and grandson, Hilkiah Gray McClendon.

In addition to his parents, he lives behind to cherish him in memory, his son, Terry McClendon; eight grandchildren, Kamaria, Zion, Israel, Genesis, Olive, Judah, Margot and Amelia; sisters, Lorie Saunders, Sabrina Temple, and Elbonee McLaurin; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Friends may call at the Antioch Missionary Baptist Church, 160 W 20th Street on Friday, April 7, 2023 from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. and Saturday from 10:00 a.m. until time of service at 11:00 a.m. Burial to follow in Wintergreen Gorge Cemetery with Full Military Honors.
