Ronald Zelina

Ronald “Ron” Zelina age 53 of Millcreek passed away on Saturday April 28^th, 2018.

Ron was a lifelong music lover and after learning  to play the Base,  played in area bands including Hammersmith, Rapid Fire, Bitchwax and started his pride and joy Mad Maxx. Because of his love of music Ron took every opportunity he could to see the bands he loved, where he would meet his favorite band members for photos and has a large photo and tee shirt collection to prove it! In addition to music Ron enjoyed going to Flea Markets looking for bargains on musical equip. and albums. He loved to tinker with all kinds of electronics including building and troubleshoot computers for his friends and family. Over the years Ron opened his home to many rescue cats. Ron was also a diehard Pittsburgh Steelers fan and loved attending the games.

Ron was a graduate of McDowell High School class of 1982.  Ron is a member of the Knights of St Johns. He was also a member of the Steel Workers Union. After working for the family business he took a position working at EMSCO for over 10 years having to stop due to a heart condition.

Ron is survived by his companion and best friend of 19 years Felicia Kotoski and their fur babies, his son Alex Jeter, his Sisters Janice Lehman, Denise Zelina, companion Ed Moffat, his brothers Tim Zelina, wife Judy, Rick Zelina, wife Patti and many nieces and nephews. Ron was preceded in death by his son, Nicholas Gabel his mother Ann Zelina and his father Thomas N Zelina Sr.

Friends and family may join us at the Burton Westlake Funeral Home at 3801 W26th St (at Powell Ave) on Wednesday May 2^nd from 5 to 7 pm with a short memorial service following.
