Ronald Wenslow

Ronald Wenslow, age 82, of Millcreek passed away Friday July 31, 2015.

He was born in Nansen, PA on November 15, 1932, the son of the late Frank and Ida Mae Rowlands Wenslow.

He was a 1950 graduate of Kane High School, then served in the U.S. Navy as a Petty Officer aboard CA32 USS Macon from 1950 until 1953, Ron graduated from California State in 1959 and was an Industrial Arts teacher at Westlake Jr. High School and Millcreek Intermediate School for over 22 years. After retiring, Ron enjoyed working at Asbury Woods Nature Center.

Ron enjoyed hunting and fishing and spending time in his wood shop.

Ronald worked as a teacher at Westlake Jr. High School and Millcreek Intermediate.

He is survived by his wife of 61 years Nancy E. Wenslow; and three sons, John Wenslow (Cheryl) of Albion, PA, Kenneth Wenslow (Kathy) of Tifton, GA, and Douglas Wenslow (Julie) of Erie and grandchildren Michael, Jackie, Jordan, Nicholas, Alecia, Amanda, Isaac and Riley; and a great-grandaughter Madison. He is further survived by two brothers James Wenslow (Ginny) and Donald Wenslow (Nancy); a sister Alberta Campbell (John) and several nieces and nephews.

Services will be private at the convenience of the family and are entrusted to Burton Westlake Funeral Home 3801 West 26th Street Erie, PA 16506.
