Ronald Wells

Ronald W. Wells, age 81, of Conneaut, OH, passed away on Sunday, October 31, 2021 at UH Conneaut.

He was born in New Bethlehem, PA on August 28, 1940, a son of the late Melvin Wells and Mamie Giest Wells Anthony.

Early in his career he worked at General Electric and National Forge. He also owned his own business, Wells Auto. Ron was a former member of Grace of Calvary Baptist Church, in Erie, where he was baptized. He became an ordained minister and was happy to help assist wherever he was needed for God’s work. He then joined and became an assistant minister at a small church in Titusville, PA. He later moved to Ohio, where he became a long term member of Old Time Baptist Church. He was an avid supporter of many good causes including, Shriners Children’s hospital, St. Judes Children’s Hospital, many Veterans groups and other charities in his local area.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Marilyn Wells, a daughter, Donna Krol, his twin-brother, Donald Wells and older brother, William Wells.

He is survived by 1 sister, Ina Williams, 3 children, Sharon (Joe) Malone, Richard (Kelly) Wells and Wayne Wells; 11 grandchildren, Jessica (Eric) Larson, Kristen (Jon) Mitchell, Michael Mitchell, Matthew Mitchell, Sarah Mitchell, Jen (TJ) Lewis, Dave Krol, James Krol, Megan(Jose)Cruz, Andrew (Siera Marks) Merchant and Thomas (Annette) Merchant, also many great-grandchildren, in-laws, nieces and nephews survive.

Friends are invited to attend a service at the Washington Valley Cemetery, at Route 6N and Sharp Road/Old 86 on Monday, November 15, 2021 at 11 am.
Arrangements are entrusted to Burton Quinn Scott Cremation & Funeral Services, Inc., Wintergreen, 2532 Norcross Road.
