Ronald D. Trayer, age 79, of Lake City, passed on Friday, February 22, 2013, at his home. Born October 26, 1933, in Margaret, PA, he was the son of the late Frank and Alberta Revis Trayer.
After high school graduation, Ronald served proudly in the U.S. Marine Corps during the Korean Conflict. Retired from Parker White Metal, Ronald loved deer hunting and his camp in Marionville.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters, Joanne Dinger and Shirley Rimel. He is survived by his loving wife of 55 years, Bonnie, and his sister, Barbara Peterson of Erie. Uncle Bud is also survived by many nieces and nephews, family and friends.
There will be no calling hours. A Celebration of Life will be held at the Siebenbuerger Club, 2114 French Street, Erie, on Tuesday, February 26, 2013, from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. Memorials may be made to the John Kanzius Cancer Research Foundation, 130 West 8th Street, Erie, PA 16501.
