Ronald Steele

Ronald W. Steele, age 80, of Erie, passed away on Friday, June 24, 2022 at his residence.

He was born in Erie, PA on February 12, 1942, a son of the late William and Dorothy Steele.

Ronald lived in Erie all of his life. Ronald married Linda the love of his life in 1969 and they were happily married for over 44 years.  He served in the United States Army.  Ronald retired from General Electric with over 30 years of service.  He loved tropical fish and enjoyed his fish tanks. He also liked tending to his plants, playing cards and loved his birds.  He loved to spend time with his grandkids.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Linda May (Gifford) Steele in 2013 and his brother, Jerry.

He is survived by two sons, David Anthony Steele of California and Michael Vincent Steele and his wife Stacy of Erie, seven grandchildren, Damian Steele of New Jersey, Vada Jocius of California, Kylie, Oliver and Georgina Steele and Julian and Charlie, all of Erie and two brothers, Bill (Linda) Steele of Florida and Dennis (Mae) Steele of Florida. Several nieces, nephews and cousins also survive.

Friends may call at the Burton Quinn Scott Cremation and Funeral Services, Inc., Downtown, 602 West Tenth Street, on Wednesday from 12 p.m. to 2 pm and from 5 p.m. until the time of service there at 7 p.m.
