Ronald Stadler

Ronald Stadler, age 82, of Girard, passed away on Thursday, January 14, 2016 at Pleasant Ridge Manor West.

He was born in Erie, on August 23, 1933, the son of the late Frank and Rose Gross Stadler.

He graduated from Tech Memorial High School and was a veteran of the United States Army. He served from 1952 to 1960.

He was employed by Band Lake Erie Pipe - PBI Industries for 21 years. He retired from RD&D Industries in 1995. Ron was a member of the American Legion Post 771, Past Commander and Honorable Life Member. He was a faithful fan of the Cleveland Indians and Browns!

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife Florence Stadler and a brother Ray Stadler.

Ron is survived by his wife Gladys (Joy) Brueckman Stadler; five step-children: Doug McDonald of Cranesville, Rob McDonald and his wife Renee of Erie, Randy McDonald and his wife (Cheryl) of Fairview, Charlene McDonald and her partner Pat Navecky of Dover, DE and Cheryl McDonald and her boyfriend Brad Daugherty of Girard. He is further survived by five step-grandchildren: Lauren, Mackenzie, Jayden, Bridget and Damien; two step great grandchildren: Dylan and Edward of Jacksonville, FL; two sisters: Charlotte Hendricks and her husband George of McKean, Rochelle Lutz and her husband Terry of North East; two brothers: Donald Stadler and his wife Linda of Harborcreek and Lawrence Stadler and his wife Mary, of Erie; a sister-in-law, Nancy Stadler of Girard; as well as many nieces and nephews.

Friends may call at the Burton Funeral Home, 525 Main Street East, in Girard on Sunday from 1-4 and Monday from 10am until the time of the service at 11am, with Reverend Charles Cammarata officiating. Burial will be at Gate of Heaven with full Military Honors.
