Ronald Sigmond

Ronald S. Sigmond age 85, of Millcreek, passed away on Friday, July 16, 2021 at his residence.

He was born in Erie on March 22, 1936 a son of the late Stephen A. and Florence M. Postas Sigmond.

Ronald was a 1954 graduate of Strong Vincent High School and received a business degree from Gannon University.

He was a devoted husband and had many close friends. Ronald was a member of the Erie Yacht Club. He loved the water and was an avid boater for over 65 years. He enjoyed the many happy moments he had on his boat “Fat Cat” with his wife and cats. Ronald and his wife enjoyed traveling on Lake Erie and Canada. They also brought several boats up from Florida.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister Elaine McLaughlin.

He is survived by his loving wife of 54 years, Roswitha “Rose” Kwiatek Sigmond; two sisters, Valarie Gourley (Robert) and Marilyn Francis; and several nephews.

The family would like to thank Interim Hospice nurses Lynn and Meg for their special care they gave to Ronald and also Dr. Joseph Deimel for his continued care and support.

Arrangements were under the care of the Burton Quinn Scott Cremation and Funeral Services, Inc. 3801 W. 26th Street, Erie, PA 16506.
