Ronald R. Leopold, Sr, age 82, of Lake City, passed away Thursday August 16, 2018 at his residence.
Born on January 17, 1936 in Erie, a son of the late Ralph F. and Mary Fiesler Leopold.
After graduating from Fairview High School, Ron worked for the railroad and was a farmer for many years.
He loved the Cleveland Indians, Browns and Cavaliers. His biggest passion was bowling, and was very proud to be inducted to the Bowling Hall of Fame. Ron enjoyed hunting and was an active member of the 400 Club.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his siblings, Edward and Donald Leopold, and June Leopold Manchester, and her husband Toby.
Ron is survived by his wife, Elizabeth Mc Cracken Leopold; three children: Joy Leopold Hirz of Cambridge Springs, Ronald Leopold and wife Debra, of Girard, and Carolyn Leopold Stewart and her husband Eric, of Springfield; a sister, Rosemary Tuten and husband Bryan of Millcreek; and a brother, William Leopold and his wife Dorothy, of Ohio. He is further survived by 6 grandchildren: Erick (Jessica) Leopold, Joshua Hirz, Ashley Stewart, Tyler Stewart, Roger Leopold and Maria Leopold and 4 great grandchildren: Olivia, Abby, Odin, Charlotte and one baby girl on the way; as well as sisters in laws, Sonya Leopold and Elaine Leopold; and many nieces and nephews.
Friends may call at the Burton Funeral Home, 525 Main St. East on Monday from 4pm until the time of the service at 7pm with Rev. Ed Huntley officiating.
Private burial will be in Fairview Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the family in care of Burton Funeral Home.
