Ronald Keith

Ronald G. “Ronnie” Keith, age 66, of Erie, passed away at his residence on September 23, 2018, following a brief battle with pancreatic cancer.  He was born in Spangler, PA on April 11, 1952, a son of the late Gerald and Mildred Rhiner Keith.

Ronnie attended Punxsutawney High School and attended Saint Jude Catholic Church.  He began a 20 year successful career with Long Fence, in Washington, DC and then, Virginia, before returning to Erie as a self-employed fencing contractor.  Ronnie was a tennis player and enthusiast and had a love for Michael Jackson, music and dancing.  He had a love for cats, especially his beloved cat “Hanky.”  Ronnie enjoyed and had a passion for living a healthy lifestyle.  He lived life to the fullest and enjoyed being physically fit.  Ronnie taught aerobics and was an accomplished tap and jazz dancer.    One of his favorite sayings was, “Oh well, what can you do?”

In addition to his parents, Ronnie was preceded in death by his brother, Francis Paul “Frank” Keith.

He is survived by one daughter, Heather Hardy; his grandchildren, Regan and Killian Tucker and Sean Hardy; his brothers, David, Larry and Timothy Keith; and six sisters, Sally Kidell, Molly Chenoga, Donna Madden, Rose Cullen, Judy Rush and Denise Riddle.  Further surviving are his former wife, Lyndell Huey as well as many nieces and nephews.

Friends may call at the Burton Westlake Funeral Home, 3801 W. 26^th St. (at Powell) today, September 27^th from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and are invited to a funeral service there on Friday, September 28^th at 11:30 a.m.
