Ronald William Cashore age 80, of Erie, passed away on Wednesday, December 2, 2020 at St. Vincent Medical Center.
He was born in York, PA on June 12, 1940, a son of the late William and Mary Dennison Cashore.
Ron was a 1959 graduate of McDowell High School and went on to graduate from the Data Processing Institute. He served in the United States Army for 6 years.
He worked in the grocery industry for over 40 years and retired from BC Fabricators.
He was a member of Lakewood United Methodist Church.
Ron was a proud Organ Donor, was an avid New York Yankees fan and was a member of the American Legion Post #773, #742 and #494. He was an excellent bowler and even bowled a 711 and was a member of the Koehler’s, 3D’s and Davis Ford Softball Teams.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, David Cashore; three sisters, Peggy Greggs, Patricia and Jeannie Cashore; and a brother Kenny Cashore.
He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Virginia Cashore; four grandchildren, Allison, Michael, Stephen and Nathan; two sisters, Barb Black and Carol Brown; and a brother, Bill Cashore.
The family would like to thank the 3rd and 4th floor of St. Vincent ICU Doctors and Nurses for their exceptional care.
Due to Covid-19 services were held private at the convenience of the family.
Arrangements are under the care of the Burton Quinn Scott Cremation and Funeral Services, West Ridge, 3801 W. 26th Street, Erie, PA 16506.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Erie Humanne Society 2407 Zimmerly Rd, Erie, PA 16506.
